Help Support Choral Arts

Harstine Island Community Choir is a Washington registered non-profit corporation, exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revue Code. We rely on the generous support of our donors to make possible our concerts, educational outreach programs, recordings, commissioning projects and other special initiatives.

  • Donate $100 to Fund a Chorister providing music for one singer for on e year's performances

  • Donate $210 to Fill the Chairs providing the stipend for one solo/orchestra player for one concert set

Acknowledgments for 2017

We gratefully acknowledge the many people and organizations who have made our performances possible:

SoundPLAN International LLC prints posters, programs, and other PR materials throughout the year for all our educational events; Humanities of Washington Speakers Bureau sponsors music educators for ‘Conversations’ the choir hosts annually; Kiwanis sponsored transportation for N Mason Students to sing at the 2017 Tree Lighting Ceremony with our choir, and Mason Transit Authority sponsored the transportation for Pioneer Middle School for the same performance. The Shelton-Mason County Journal, Sr. News, Coffee News, KMAS, Hood Canal Communications and Shelton and North Mason Chamber of Commerce have promoted our choir through advertising. David Miser and the music dept. at Shelton High School, along with the Community Concert Association, all of whom support us and Women of Note, a women’s ensemble affiliated with Harstine Island Community Choir. We appreciate the 2018 Music 2 Our Ears sponsors, Pioneer Kiwanis and Harstine Island Garden Club. We are thankful for the support and sponsorship of SWING FEVER for the annual New Year Dance fundraiser.

We appreciate use of these venues: Harstine Grange Hall, North Mason High School Auditorium, Shelton High School Performing Arts Center and St. David of Wales Episcopal Church.

Thank you Karen Beret, Kelsey Barnes, Kathy Jonas, Elberta Johnson, Pat Honeysuckle, Sandy Bamford and MaryJean Rose for your dedication to this choir and your fine accompaniment to our singing. And we thank choristers for purchasing music and dedicating time to prepare concerts.

We thank YOU for making performances possible through generous donations. 100% of the donations benefit future concerts and educational outreach programs of Harstine Island Community Choir. Our web page shows many ways your tax deductible donation helps us support our logo, ‘Promoting Harmony in Mason County and Beyond.”
